Milestone 1 John
Hello! John Here for my Milestone 1 devlog summary:
I spent the first couple of days gathering assets such as sounds for the menus via leshy labs and pixabey. I also gathered some generated AI Art for the menu images and so we can placeholders for the menus and buttons. I then spent time using the inspector for the buttons to add conditions and using a delay within the main menu code to add a delay with the System.Threading.Tasks part of unity and that allowed me to have a 10 second delay to going to a scene transition.
I then the rest of the allotted time constructing the menu scene with previously made code. I made 3 different canvases with 2 scenes, naming them Title Screen and Game Over. These scenes were set up simply with there being buttons to make the canvases turn on and off when needed. All that was needed was me putting new conditionals and effects for the buttons to make them work, then using the scripts to connect it to our current demo scene. I plan to connect these menus to the audio manager our teammate Lance has made! Will update in a week or two!
