Seth Kolb: Milestone 3 - Level Design for Playtest


Hello this is Seth with my Devlog, I going over my level design for the environment and underground industrial ruins section.  For the underground section Lance and I decided to work on a quest for the start of our game that where a gnome will find our robotic main character.  Also I wanted to implement something small for the player to complete a pipe jump then fall down to fight enemies.

I worked to create a procedural smart metal material for the walls in blender. I tried to make the material look like an rusted copper through trying to replicating the look of oxidation in metal, scuff marks and dirtiness.

For the outside environment I ended up implementing my modular building pieces and put enemies in the sand. I also worked on planning some future concept designs for the environment.
